Microsoft Light Switch

Microsoft has come out with a rapid-application development tool to build applications for the desktop, the web, and the cloud. Microsoft is promoting LightSwitch as the simplest way for developers of all skill levels to develop business applications, but it seems to be targeted more at inexperienced developers.

You can download the beta version and look at some demonstration videos here.

  1. Hey Gurnam, Have you heard of Iron Speed Designer? We actually prefer this tool (along with Visual Studio) to Microsoft's Light Switch. Light Switch feels more like a flimsy widget...

  2. I have seen couple of demo videos for Iron Speed, it seems to be more flexible and configurable. I haven't had the time to play around with Light Switch yet, so it is hard to compare. But will post my review about it soon.
